what the CDC says is that (with the Delta variant) having natural immunity PLUS vaccinations works better in protecting you than the vaccinations on their own.

before Delta, there wasn't the evidence to support that, and they do not know, yet, if it stands with the Omicron since it has so many differences and is infecting those with 'prior immunity' both natural and through vaccination.
