Exactly right. Barr himself said that under oath, and that Trump was spied on. I fully expect Durham to confirm this fact and to root out the malefactors.

I seem to remember something about Durham's investigation being outside of the purview of the AG to discontinue or defund.

I also seem to remember the hue and cry that the special counsel's investigation was sacrosanct when it was Trump under the microscope.



Yet now that it's the perpetrators of the Russia, Russia Russia lie in the crosshairs, somehow the Libs/Progs don't seem to remember anything of the sort. Strange, eh?

He was appointed by AG Barr, so I guess the assumption is he can be fired by another AG or the President.

There'd be no stopping a special prosecutor who was investigating Trump except a lack of evidence, which was the case with the Mueller fiasco.

The big surprise for me was Durham developing evidence that John Brennan had briefed Obama and warned him the Steele Dossier was not an intelligence product but a political hit piece paid for by the Clinton campaign. The original belief was that Brennan had orchestrated the development of the Dossier. It looks like Durham is drilling down on the Clinton Campaign and the FBI.
