Back in the 1990s I saw a similar act to the article in my link. The fellow was billed as "Dynamite Spiros" He would put himself and some dynamite (I think it was four pieces) inside of a plywood box called a "coffin" and blow himself up twice a day. It was loud, he wore a helmet, but always passed out. I saw the act one day at an amusement park and read his newspaper clippings. He appeared at lumber yards, sales events, grand openings, etc. I assumed the concussions would take their toll on him much like KOs on a boxer.
