Every time I go to my 'control panel', I now have to log in and moments later I receive an email saying there has been suspicious activity with my account. What's going on? Is anyone else experiencing similar trouble?

This may sound daft, but how do I do that? It doesn't seem immediately apparent how to change a password on my 'control panel'.

I'm getting it all the time too. Changed password and still happening. If I'm on my laptop it's fine, if I access via my Kindle Silk browser it logs me out and sends me the suspicious activity email.

Hello @manu, this is continuing to happen. I've tried messaging you directly about the matter. Are you aware of the problem?

Thank you for the reports.

The system that alerts members of possibly suspicious logins is still new so we're improving it regularly.

We'll try to figure out why the accounts mentioned in this thread might be triggering the warnings so that we can let the system know that this activity is nothing to be worried about.

I doubt that we can get anything out before the weekend, but hopefully we'll be able to do an update next week to fix it for you.

Thank you again and please keep letting me know if you have similar problems. :D

Ok, ta.

I figured the emails were coming in as a security alert - I get the same whenever I clear my cache and log in to Lit again, just as I get alerts from Google (my Gmail and Blogger accounts), so I don't worry about it.

Curiously though, the last alert warned of a log-in from Sydney, where I don't live. I figure your system was spotting the last server bounce before the jump over the Pacific to the US. But again, it didn't bother me. It's actually good in a way to know there's some integrity in the Lit back-end.

I have two emails alerting me that someone was trying to change my password. Eek! Not sure if this is related to the above and my account triggered this somehow or if someone was trying to log in as me…

Well Laurel has been in contact with the chat admins and they are apparently updating the story side of the site and we all know how glitchy code can be when its updating and being tested..

But to be very honest as someone who has a lot of years of tech support work under my belt...I would suggest changing your password ToPleaseHim

I know its a pain in the ass but better safe than sorry right?

Definitely better safe than sorry. I was thinking I should do this, but I definitely appreciate your perspective. I’m going to do it now. Thanks :)

I changed my password and had about two days without being logged out for "suspicious activity" on my Kindle... and now it's happening frequently again.

Not a huge deal to have to log in multiple times, but it would be nice if this could be rectified.

I was having this issue before I completely lost access to my control panel. I do use a VPN. Does the VPN block my access to that aspect of the site? I've tried turning it off and the same thing happens.
