The city of Portland revealed Friday that it had discovered an “offensive” and “unauthorized” slide appended to a presentation meant to train Portland police on riot control.

I think you're right, but I don't know if the cops will be the ones to do it. I think what you'll start seeing is people empowered to push back or defend themselves. All it takes are a few stand your ground laws and sooner or later an Antifa "protester" will attack the wrong person.
