That sonic boom you just heard? It's all the Lit deplorables' heads exploding when they discovered MLK ever said anything besides their favorite out-of-context quote about the content of a man's character.

That boom.was entirely in your imagination, also doesn't change the not out of context quote thay correctly identifies racist scum like Democrats.

Which not out of context quote would that be? Perhaps “White Americans must recognize that justice for black people cannot be achieved without radical changes in the structure of our society.”? Or how about "It is an aspect of their sense of superiority that the white people of America believe they have so little to learn."? Or maybe "A society that has done something special against the Negro for hundreds of years must now do something special for the Negro.”?

The one about judging people by the content of character instead of their skin color.

You know....shitting all over woke bigots who insist on the opposite and engaging democrats for a very long time now.

You are not allowed to include those quotes in your argument. Emobo(GothBoBo) dictates what material and definitions can and can't be used in all debates.

If you violate Emobo's rules, Emobo will cry, causing Emobo's eyeliner to run.

*nods* and *chuckles*

Laz, making shit up 100mph because he doesn't have any points or arguments, nothing of substance.

Typical. :D

What allegiance to MLK do Senators Sinema and Manchin have that exceeds that which they owe their constituents?

Neither the preservation of the filibuster nor the blocking of the John Lewis Voting Rights Act is anything they owe their constituents.

Of course it is, they voted for them.

Why is the concept of responsibility so difficult for leftist?

We should sell guns the way Democrats want us to vote, no ID, no background check, just send a check and get it in the mail, as we did prior to 1962.

I find it profoundly disturbing for people to co-opt Dr Martin Luther King Jr's words and legacy and pervert what was a beautiful message of equality into a divisive wedge.

For those who want context, here it is. For those who want the full, beautiful speech, it is linked below.

Dr. King lived in a time of segregation and discrimination. Yet, despite the things he saw and endured, he maintained the position that our goal should not be to achieve equilibrium through revenge, but rather to achieve harmony and embrace each other as equals.

I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed. We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal.

I have a dream that one day out in the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slaveowners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.

I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of interposition and nullification; that one day right down in Alabama little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers.

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day every valley shall be engulfed, every hill shall be exalted and every mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plains and the crooked places will be made straight and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together.

Democrats just used the filibuster to stop Ted Cruz's Nord Stream 2 Pipeline sanctions. Democrat do love the Russians. Remember when they used to project that love onto Trump who hammered the hell out of Putin with sanctions?:D

Like I said, out of context.
The context was, MLK was saying we should strive for a society where that will be the case. He knew better than you or I that we weren't there yet in 1963, and we're not there yet now. So ignoring the role racism still plays in the everyday lives of POC isn't benefitting anyone but the racists.

You know....shitting all over woke bigots who insist on the opposite and engaging democrats for a very long time now.

I won't even pretend to understand where you draw that conclusion from. I'm pretty sure you don't really understand either. In any event, those other quotes I provided make it quite clear whose side he would be on if he were around today.

You must remember, these are Democrats. Their pretend President just asked Big Tech to throw the First Amendment aside and censor posts that have opinions other than his.

Who wants to be the one to tell MLK’s daughter and Butters that there are 52 Senators out of 100 who preserving the filibuster?

For non-white Americans, it really is. If you don't like that, the thing to do is work against racism, not perpetuate it.

You say it's out of context, then go on to prove otherwise.

Lol...can't make this shit up.

Yes that's exactly what he was saying......and democrats are DESPERATELY fostering the opposite with the racist and race obsessed woke "progress" and terminal racial victimhood mentality.

Other than switching to "fuck whitey" and calling it "anti-racist" to be racist in democrat approved ways.....democrats haven't chaned at all on 100 years.

What a bunch of lying smelly hypocrites::D

Democrats used filibuster 327 times, compared to only once by GOP in 2020: Report
by Andrew Mark Miller, Deputy Social Media Editor | | March 26, 2021 06:18 PM

President Joe Biden has been increasingly critical of the Senate filibuster, calling it a Jim Crow relic and saying it has been widely abused despite Democrats using it over 300 times in 2020, compared to once by Republicans.

“After @POTUS @JoeBiden denounced the rampant abuse of the filibuster last year, we did some digging,” Fox News anchor John Roberts tweeted Friday. “Republicans used it once. Democrats used it 327 times.”

In his first solo press conference since taking office, Biden said he agreed with former President Barack Obama’s newly adopted belief that the filibuster tactic is a “Jim Crow relic.”

Biden also expressed frustration with how often the filibuster has been used and specifically took issue with how it was “abused” last year.

“I was going to give you the statistics, but you probably know them, that it used to be that — that from between 1917 to 1971, the filibuster existed, there was a total of 58 motions to break a filibuster that whole time,” Biden said in the press conference. “Last year alone, there were 5 times that many. So it's being abused in a gigantic way.”

LOL the 1st amendment doesn't apply here. And its only opinions in the twisted mind of screwed conservatives anyway.

Nobody says any of that garbage however.

As a non-white American, I totally disagree. I find the notion that it is totally fucking insane and racist as it gets without going institutional with it....which democrats want to do for the sake of racial equity.

I'm do work against racism and fight against those wome leftist desperately perpetuating it.

That's why I'm no longer a Democrat.

Emobo refuses to acknowledge that AMERICA hasn't measurably changed in regards to many disparities between races as a whole since 1960.

OK, Emobo can cry now. Give that eyeliner a workout.

*chuckles*

Biden asked them to censor information different than his in a jumbled cognitively impaired speech yesterday. He is asking his fascist friends to attack our Bill Of Rights. Whether you are smart enough to understand it or not.
