If the vax doesn't work - then why do you want it mandated?

Our insurance rates go up because of their hospital bills.

Because the vaccinations do not prevent you from getting Covid. They make Covid less deadly and you are likely to have an easier time than someone unvaccinated.

As for the unvaccinated? Apart from possibly spreading Covid, they could be hospitalized and die, leaving more work to be done by those who have been vaccinated.

Because they want total conformity. It makes them uncomfortable to have people around who disagree with them.

That happens when you're forced to pay for other people's shit and deal with other people's absence and other people's irresponsibility in general.....right?

Same could be said for fatties, smokers and drunks.

Absolutely. That's why most businesses have clauses that account for such things in their dealings with insurance companies.....I have to sign a waiver saying I don't smoke....if I smoke, I pay more.

Are you talking about welfare payments for the children of single mothers?

I'll defer. It's been a long time since I've had insurance. I used to pay for the insurance for a couple of dozen employees and don't remember any differentiation - but that was pre-Obamacare and I really don't remember.

Wtf.
If vaccines don't stop the spread, that wouldn't be a reason to mandate vaccines.
And I'm generally a diehard pro-vaxxer myself.

I haven't kept uptodate,
but is that a misunderstanding by massmedia? What do professionals say?

If the US didn't require insurance through employers, this wouldn't be as much of an issue, but anyone on insurance through the same company I use and through any negotiation that my company has, definitely directly impacts my insurance.

But for smoking, which did also adversely impact others' health (like the virus), they removed the ability to smoke in the place of business and moved it outside to a corner so that it won't impact us. Though there's always that asshole that decides right in front of the entrance is fine for them....because they're an asshole.

Vaccines reduce duration of transmission, so definitely stop the spread better than not.

The messaging would be confusing if every single doctor in the world didn't recommend the vaccination as a way to bring the pandemic to an end. Regardless of what you want the effectiveness to be, it does contribute to reducing the infection rate, which is the direct metric for the pandemic.

aah, yes.
Ogg is pretty onto it usually, but he either misunderstood what massmedia were trying to say, or some massmedia articles are misreporting.

Have any proof of that? Published studies?

I'm sure he'll invest 2-3 hours to research the topic for you
given that you won't even read his links
yet debate them,
bobo style

He’s biased and routinely “factual statements” w/o linking the source. Not always but often. I’ve never read ANY study claiming that the vaxed have a shorter period of transmissibility.

I probably got exhausted by the Cancel Rent thread,
and assumed that you were trying similar tricks.

you two then carry on.:rose:

Yes, I do.

And so do scientists in every country except for anti-vax idiots in the US.

Freedum means the US will never conquer Covid. Other countries with higher vaccination rates are beginning to see an end to the pandemic which will make Covid only endemic. But too many US stupids will prevent that in the Land of the Free Idiots.

That’s your problem, you believe Covid is going to be conquered, that’s delusional, Covid is here to stay.

Your reading skills are fantastic. He never said it would be conquered. In fact, by using the word endemic, he's saying that it's here to stay.
