I agree with some of what you say. I do believe that if we continue to treat people who are menaces with kid gloves, we will only get more menaces. I do believe that people that fuck shit up should be dealt with.

But, I think that proportionality should be the rule. Someone breaks a window? Arrest them. Someone winds up to pitch a molotov cocktail? Shoot them. I'm not down with giving the police a blank check to execute people at will, and I expect those police to be held to account for everything they do.

But, this whole January 6th thing has been blown way way out of proportion. It wasn't such a big deal - the cost to repair the damage they did was minimal. The only people who actually died were on the protester's side, and one of those was a crowd dynamics issue - people get crushed all of the time when you have masses of them squeezed into tight quarters.

Yes, it is usually that way in a society that has laws.... criminals are apprehended and sent to court for judgement or shot if the present a criminal threat(Babbitt) by law enforcement and judges.

As long as it's "mostly peaceful protesting" for a democrat to be a violent criminal, only bad when otherz do it? I think the favor should be returned.

In red states Derrick Chauvin types should be heroes that are as celebrated as the cop who shot Babbit and prod boys should have free reighn to fuck with democrats at will up to and include burning their shit down, kicking their ass and arresting them if they try and call.the cops for help.
