WTF is with Govenor Abbott?

He has every right to activate the National Guard for what he decides is an emergency. That is a power invested in the Governors of each state. An argument for or against the necessity of sending them to the southern border can be made, but doing so is his call.

That said, once activated, they need to be treated like any other public safety state employee. A lackadaisical approach to paying them, ignoring some of the problems they are experiencing such as family problems, not being able to pay their bills and other personal hardships are total and utter bullshit.

The border "crisis" MIGHT be Biden's fault. But the way those troops are being treated has nothing to do with that "crisis". It has everything to do with the fucking State of Texas and the fucking governor ignoring their responsibility to the people that work for them. It appears Abbott has forgotten that those men and women sign up to do what is necessary in an emergency. It's a contract. The state is CONTRACTUALLY obligated to do certain things, like pay them on time.

You'd have a conniption fit if a Democratic governor did that. The problem here is it isn't about being part of one political party or the other. It's about DOING HIS FUCKING JOB, which he isn't. And because he isn't, he's fucking the people who are doing their job.

I think you need to grow the fuck-up, put down the political paint brush you seem to color everything with and try, just once, to see the truth.

investigation into National Guard troops sent to the border by the Texas governor.

U.S. Northern Command announced its investigation is to examine a “wide range
of alleged issues” that have occurred among troops deployed on a federal mission
along the southwest border.

Later on Thursday, more than a dozen House Democrats called on the inspector general
for the Texas Military Department to investigate news reports that those troops serving
under Republican Gov. Greg Abbott have suffered pay issues, poor living conditions
