1) A man's gorgeous and beloved wife is asexual; she has no interest in sex or even physical affection. Desperate for her affection and sexual love, he derives a formula and, without her knowledge, slips it into her food or drink or lotion, etc. Eventually he succeeds; she becomes intensely sexual and sexually active.

However, she soon begins to become way oversexed under the influence, and with others, not just him. He develops an antidote to reverse the effects, but the antidote soon has only temporary effect, and her episodes of overly sexual behavior begin to take over. She's becoming a sex fiend! Describing the changes that occur when the wife transforms can be quite exciting to the reader! Drama, hilarity, horror, comedy or tragedy can then ensue. It's all up to you!;)

I think you'd need to be VERY careful to emphasize that the woman has only been asexual UP TO THIS POINT but is open to some for some kind of sexual activity. The potion-or-whatever would be excuse explore her sexual side and not actually be coercive in any way. One way to do this is to reveal that the potion was a placebo. Bonus points if she never has sex with the husband. BONUS bonus points if they stay together anyway as a platonic household while she still dates whoever she'd like. Maybe he does too?

These are very useful points. In "Dr. Jekyl...", the protagonist gives the potion to himself. He then, tragically, commits sexual and physical violence, including murder, upon those around him.

Literotica may not permit drugging another for sexual purposes, without consent. One must obey their rules. Perhaps, after discussing their sexual issues, the wife asks for something to make her 'feel sexy'. Or, perhaps, she discovers her husband's experiments, and decides to try the potion herself, without his knowledge, before it is tested. (That sounds better.) Like Dr. Jekyl, she will then have brought unforseen difficulties on herself, as well as her husband and others.

I like it, but the big problem is giving his wife that formula without her consent. He could try to convince her to try it on her own. Maybe she knows how she sexually inhibited she has been for her husband and agrees to take the formula to help save her marriage.

Also, in the most variations of the Jekyll/Hyde stories, the Hyde characters come out as a kind of alter ego, or separate personality if you like, that completely takes over and the Jekyll character doesn't know know what Hyde was up to during those times. Maybe you can have the wife forget what her sexual exploits were during her blackouts. She can suddenly wake up in bed with after a gangbang, or even wake up with a naked woman next to her not realizing she was into women.

I like the idea that, perhaps, he's so engrossed in a search for an aphrodisiac, that he's ignored his wife. She misinterprets his obsession for disinterest. She becomes frantic to become sexier, thinking that will win back his affection and attention. She doesn't know what he's working on in his private lab. She becomes determined to find out, and sneaks into the lab after obtaining a key. When she reads his notes and finds out what he's working on, she becomes determined to try his formula, regardless of the risk. The husband knows nothing of this. He hasn't even tested the formula yet. She starts taking the formula without his knowledge, resulting in all kinds of stuff. Sort of 'Dr. Jekyl and Ms. Hyde'. All these ideas have been done, of course, but not in such an explicitly erotic context.

Literotica may not permit drugging another for sexual purposes, without consent.

As far as I'm aware, the only restrictions on Literotica are no bestiality and no underage sex (although I understand there are tighter rules around images). I will point out that there is a whole Nonconsent/Reluctance category on the site, and there is even a tag for "drugged" which has a healthy number of stories under it.

I definitely think it's important to make writers aware when they're crossing into "problematic" territory, especially in cases like this where it might not have been obvious at first glance that there are consent implications to a given plot device - if for no other reason than that it will turn some readers off. But please be aware that just because you don't want to read it doesn't mean that it shouldn't be written.

Drama, hilarity, horror, comedy or tragedy can then ensue.

And that's the point, isn't it? As someone with a soft spot for dubious consent stories, I'd love to read a version of this story from a writer who knows (even if the characters might not) that tricking her into drinking the potion violates her autonomy, but that immediately takes the story into the "erotic horror" category. Trying to mix that with a "hilarity ensues" kind of tone might not be a great combination.

Correct, mostly. According to spurious reading in Author's Hangout and similar osmosis there's a few more edge cases though.

One, while generally non-consent is okay, physical violent rape is not okay, especially in the non-consent section (elsewhere it can slip if in background and/or important as fact to more general plot), unless the victim enjoy it all at the end. This can be generalized in a way that obvious, intentional, concious and ungratified suffering of the victim of non-consent is not acceptable. The consequences of this are somewhat abhorrent if you think about it too long, but that's the rules. The apologetic way to put the internet is, rape fantasy is okay, raper fantasy isn't, but does it work like that I'm not sure.

No consent violations and no violence at all, consensual or not (and by extension most BDSM), are allowed in celebrity/fanfiction category, especially but not limited to if the copyrighted or "real" character is on the receiving end. (There was discussed an example where a video game character knowingly took sedatives with intent to be used for sex while asleep; because of the copyrighted character it was rejected for non-con.) But that is very specific to that category only.

Second, regarding to underage... be prepared that the dictionary bot that "reads" the submissions will by default reject your work for "underage content" regardless of what you actually wrote, and you will have to resubmit with comments there's indeed none (it's apparently acceptable to resubmit without edits trying your luck another time).

By the front stance the site is upon a crusade of even implied or interpreted underaged sexuality. Then, they do in fact specifically declare high school seniors are actually okay, and I have seen it stretched as far as the summer before that senior year, while ostensibly you can get in trouble for descriptions of a flat chested woman regardless of the declared age.

So, there is a bit of minefield, made worse than it should be by the real moderation by an actual human being spurious at best. But I would suggest to not worry about it, not before it's done at least as a draft.
