Electronic voice on intercom: Your call to Randi Weingarten is ready, Mr. President

Joey: Randi, how are you?! Yeah, me too. Say, you know this thing in Chicago? Yes, the strike vote. I just wanted you to know, I'll be instructing my Cabinet to find a way to fire each and every one of you if you do that. Mmhmm. Yeah, watch me. Get your fat asses back to work. Tomorrow. Quit screwing these kids over.

hangs up.

Watch the polls skyrocket.

Offered to Joe free.

I'm fairly certain President Biden doesn't peruse the Lit and I know for damn sure he wouldn't take advice from a Trumplitard considering he whipped 45's ass.

Oh, I have no illusions. Biden is in the teachers' unions pocket. He's no sooner do what I suggested then he would fly around the room or take a cognitive test.

He'd still be at 60% tomorrow if he did that. America is sick to the back teeth with these public sector unions telling us how the public's institutions are going to be run.

Of course, the POTUS has no authority to fire teachers, except those at U.S. military academies.

No, but I bet his Dept of Labor could have some say in whether the union remains certified in Chicago should the Mayor decide to pink-slip the lot.

The RWCJ: Biden is a dictator!

Also RWCJ: Biden should "instruct the Cabinet" to fire people who aren't federal employees.

I didn't say it wasn't dictatorial. He might not even be able to pull it off.

But to plant a boot in that gnomish pool of lipids Weingarten would see his rating soar.

What makes you think of all groups is in their pocket?

Because his CDC consulted them before making a "scientific" determination on whether to open schools.

Sounds like the CDC is in their pockets. Fauci, whom I assume speaks for Biden, on such issues is still pissed about 10 days being shortened to five. Have I missed some news report? Cus this certainly sounds like it would be an ideal time to catch him in a lie. This would be a genuine lie, not one of those "This is what I said, this is what I'm saying." sort of lies. This would be flat out same day lie.

Does that mean he's not in the pocket of Big Business and Pharma? Cus in terms of money that makes a lot more sense. Being the teachers corner, which I buy, just means he's interested in our day to day lives in ways we're told no politician is. Not that I ever bought that. That certainly isn't about money.

I also honestly find it laughable that a man of his age is in anybody's pocket. What are the honest odds he's even running? I'd be more than willing to take that risk if I were him.

Yeah, no. He would alienate his progressive base, and the right would still hate him because he would still be a Democrat. Mind you, I DO see why you wish he would do that.

Anyway, I very much doubt a president of either party could boost his approval rating by getting those teachers in Chicago fired. There is not really any popular groundswell of hostility to public-sector unions, that's only a drum some RWs beat.

Sure, most GOP would still loathe him, but where are the progs gonna go? And the independents would be wowed by it.

And the independents would be wowed by it.

I doubt it. In my experience most independents are really Republicans, they just think being technically not a member of the party proves they're more open-minded. Besides, as others have said, union-busting doesn't really have any political appeal outside the right, which is not going to be impressed with anything Biden does.
