“My wife's friend was sayin’ ‘do you realize it’s over 5 dollars for a pound of hamburger meat?!’ 5 dollars. Well this is partly, you know, the pound of beef today costs 5 bucks compared to less than 4 bucks before the pandemic.”

.
So the pandemic is contributing to inflation.

Sounds about right.

*shrugs*

Can you all drop that "Brandon" shit? It was stupid to start with and it ain't gotten any smarter.

Once the righty schmucks find something they think makes them sound bitingly clever and edgy, they always run it into the ground.

It's why they are so terrible at creating any good memes and even worse at knowing when to let a basic one go when it's played out.

Hey, fuck you. People put up with you bullshit for four years. Orange man bad. Covfefe. Shove it up your ass. #LGB

"Orange man bad." was coined by the Right and they are the only ones using it.

likewise blame Cheeto for his Covfefe fail. That one lasted only a couple of weeks of burn before his proclivity for screwing up gave people something new to clown him on.

Blow it out your bootylips. #IDC

:D

He hasn't had a paycheck that wasn't funded by the taxpayers since his knife fight with Corn Pop.

Inflation is just a figment of (R) and Indy imagination.

It's not happening.

Everyone who says it's happening isn't following the "science..."

;) ;)

Of course it's happening -- but it's not necessarily a bad sign. The Great Depression was characterized by deflation. Usually, inflation comes with expanding economic activity. The "stagflation" of the 1970s was an anomaly, caused by an increased cost (imported petroleum) external to the American economy, not by government spending or Fed monetary policy.

There is demand-fueled inflation but there is also money-fueled inflation.

One is economically healthy and the other is a political sickness born out of desperation.

This is purely the latter caused by government trying to mitigate the extreme effects of bad policy...

Pumping money into the economy is the major source of the current inflation, but lack of labor is also a significant contributor. Labor shortage is almost 100% responsible for the beef and poultry prices going up.

The Great Resignation has left 10 million jobs unfilled.

Vegetables are inexpensive.and good for you...they also help folks have a better attitude.

Fiber = less constipated thinking

But, there is demand-fueled inflation going on. Loosening up of covid restrictions leads to increased demand.

Oh, peck. How many cute little names does the Left have for Right wingers?

I've never encouraged such usages as "Rethuglicans," "Repugnicans," etc. Which are still elegant Wildean wit compared to "Demonrats," etc.

I accept "deplorable" because it's pretty much an established part of standard political discourse, now.
