People entered a Cost Co. on what appeared to be a normal day and we're told to run for their lives shortly after as a wildfire moving at near 50 mph closed in on them.

Folks in Colorado never saw anything like this and it is now Colorado's most crazy natural among many other yearly wildfires that are accepted as the new normal

So, is it just "shit happens" as some would have us believe or more proof that our climate is seriously off kilter?

Both. To say nothing like this never happens is wrong. It is Colorado. The wind blows. It is dry. Build in poor places...you get these results.

Yes...they are in a drought. But when you have fires this hot...no amount of moisture would have stopped it.

"The new normal" LOL.....meanwhile Colorado along with most mountain states have been burning for so long a number of plants native to the regions need fire to reproduce. Literally millions of years.

The only thing "new" about the fires in west and southwestern regions of N. America is the hyped up fear mongering around it.

Opening a Costco in 2008 in a known wildfire area probably wasn't the smartest move.
