Still a real thing. Omicron will take over as the lead strain soon enough

Government employees.

They work for the government because private industry won't have them. And this is an example of why.

You keep preaching science and believing the CDC. You want people to believe you, then tell them the truth.

The truth is that Omicron is more infectious by far and will take over as the dominant strain. No data reveals anything different.

From what I can see in this forum, most of the right just whines about everything virus related. None seem to be interested in anything truthful

And it is much less deadly. Europe which has always been a few weeks ahead of us has had much fewer hospitalizations with this strain. Same thing has happened in Africa where this strain was first observed.

Yes, indications are showing that it is, which is good news

Whether it is consistent with the first cases or not is not scientifically relevant. It just means that those who may have gone with the original case results as truthful got lucky that the trend has continued. It was just as possible that the early indications couldve reversed course.

Nobody should want to get this virus and everyone should be taking precautions as able to avoid it

The CDC just revised its omicron prevalence estimate for the week ending 12/18 from 73% to 22.5%. That’s more than a rounding error. Their virus surveillance tracking and reporting is terrible. Their public messaging is even worse.
