Iranian officials renewed their demand for the lifting of U.S. sanctions at the outset of the eighth and “presumably final round” of talks to rehabilitate the 2015 nuclear deal.

Amir-Abdollahian projected optimism about the process, saying that the meeting would be organized around "a common and acceptable document on the negotiating table.” U.S. and European officials have underscored that the window of opportunity to return to the 2015 deal, which then-President*Donald Trump*exited in 2018, is closing due to Iran’s persistent progress to develop nuclear weapons.

Iranian officials, for their part, kicked off the week by meeting with Russian and Chinese officials “to compare notes before the official start” of the Vienna talks, as Russian Ambassador Mikhail Ulyanov put it. Ulyanov, who*characterized*this round of talks as the “presumably final round of negotiations,” suggested after the first day of formal meetings that the two sides would try to move quickly to a breakthrough.

Since when do we give a shit to wait Iran Expects?

When other Presidents were around did you care about what Iran expects?

Oh..of course not.

A reminder- we wouldn't be in these negotiations except for a decision made recently by someone else.

What's the point of the sanctions anyway? 10 years from now, Iran will still be an Islamic Republic. It still will be funding Hezbollah, but since the population of Shi'ite Muslims outside Iran and Iraq is limited, so will be Hezbollah's influence. And, sanctions or not, Iran will grow in regional hegemonic power, because we went and knocked Iraq out of that picture.

On Presidential Spelunking

Yes he will. Yes he can!

He will also claim victory, spike the ball,
and bask in the praise of the press praising a person of peace...

Then Israel will use tactical nukes on their facilities and ensure a real peace,

but Biden will still get the Nobel and Hunter will invest it in Columbia.

;) ;)

Nuking people doesn't ensure peace. It kills a ton of civilians and creates new terrorists out for vengeance.

And we end up spending our money to repair the damage...because we support Israel by paying for their shit.

Biden is working towards getting us back into a deal that prevented then from getting Nukes, which the previous admin shredded......and which accelerated their nuke making capabilities

The Iranians only need look next door to see how much steel Joey Meltbrain has in his spine: None.

And with John Kerry, who can't spt out the ayatollahs' dicks long enough to say "thank you," you can bet all the whispers in Joe's ears are to capitulate to the mullahs.

Any day now Iran is going to break out with a nuke, or we'll see a massive Israeli attack on their nuclear program. It will all be at the feet of the Democrats.

There won't be at all, but the previous administration would be the reason

You actually think Iran was honoring the terms of the agreement? You can't possibly be that naive.

I'm sure Iraq will have something to say about Iran launching nukes over them.

What, do you see any loopholes in the 2015 deal?

Yeah, Obama negotiated one big loophole. He should have told them to cease and desist within 48 hours or suffer massive air raids on their nuclear facilities.

The Israel Defense Forces believes it significantly curbed Iran’s ability to transfer weapons and equipment through Syria over the past year through its airstrikes, and plans to continue doing so in 2022, The Times of Israel has learned.

The military hopes that these attacks will also drive a wedge between Syrian dictator Bashar Assad and Tehran.

At the same time, the military is pressing ahead with its preparations for a potential strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities, amid ongoing talks in Vienna between Tehran and world powers on a return to the 2015 accord to halt the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program in exchange for sanctions relief.

In addition to preparing to counter the larger, regional threats, the IDF also expects to dedicate considerable resources in the coming year to countering Hamas in the Gaza Strip, despite the currently holding ceasefire with the terror group following May’s 11-day conflict; and to fighting terrorist activity in the West Bank, which has seen a significant rise in violence recently, of both Palestinian attacks against Israelis and Israeli settler attacks on Palestinians, according to IDF statistics.

Learning a lesson from the Israeli bombardment of Iraq's Osirak plant, the Iranians have built their nuclear facilities underground and bomb-hardened. Nothing short of nukes will touch them.

They were monitoring every facility and providing those reports regularly. You can actually go and see them for yourself.

They ramped up towards production once the US left the agreement and when the US didn't return, they left the deal. The other countries had no leverage once the US was out.

Funny enough, the previous administration tried to enforce the agreement even though they withdrew from it. That always made me laugh.

All of their access to the surface can be interdicted though. So, a big tomb. Understand the USAF now has 30 of the GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrators, which is 5 tons heavier than the GBU-43 known as the MOAB. It bridges the gap between the MOAB and nuclear weapons. Also, IR Sat images have pinpointed most or all of the ventilation and exhaust shafts that supply those underground facilities.
