We do know that NFL, NCAA, NBA, NHL teams are 100% vaxed and games are getting canceled, so if the vaccines do prevent getting the virus, it's a small and fleeting effect. Other jurisdictions that are 100%+ vaxxed are also experiencing spikes in cases.

So far, the Hawaii Bowl and Gator Bowl. I may be wrong about the Gator Bowl, but Texas A&M, the original team playing, pulled out over COVID issues.

The NHL's entire season is currently suspended and the NFL wasnted to cancel three games from Week 15, but the PA howled (the players wouldn't have gotten paid). Mea culpa, I thought that it was a done deal.
