I remember when the "Long Island Lolita" story spawned three made-for-TV movies in the same week -- one from Amy Fisher's POV, one from Joey Buttafuoco's, and one more or less neutral.

Daunte tried to strangle a woman just weeks before, and had shot a person in his head only 2-3 years ago. (and he was back on the streets, oppression style)
