I've finished two old stories and wrote a thousand words on several more. The words are flowing so now is not the time to stop.

After correcting all the errors in the last two sentences, maybe it is time.

Supper was grilled chicken breasts, smashed taters, and a green salad.

A beautiful sunny day today. 50 this morning but a high of 75 later on. We spent some time cleaning up the yard and mowing the fallen leaves. Some time on the sundeck was relaxing. The vacation took the stress level down a couple of notches.

Are laptop prices high right now? I'm thinking about finally ditching the big PC in favor of a laptop and the prices make my eyes water.

I replaced the mouse and keyboard on my PC with a wireless keyboard. It simplifies things and works more like a laptop. Right now it's a little annoying, but once you're used to one keyboard, changes tend to be annoying.

I haven't used my laptop in so long I don't even remember what brand it is. Anyway, HM confiscated it when her old one broke right after she arrived to stay. HG is a tablet girl.

Unless they have made the wireless stuff better, buy rechargeable batteries. I had one once and it ate batteries by the pound.

I'll keep that in mind. I've had this keyboard for years (seven? eight?). I got it for the home theater system then used it just for system admin because I got an air mouse, and then a Rii controller for normal operations.

The main annoyance right now is that the space bar isn't very sensitive. I'll load up a story pretty soon and see just how annoying that is.

Tablet - urgh!

I bought a tablet, never used, in a sealed box from a charity shop on eBay.

My son-in-law and eldest daughter have just spent two hours trying to get it to connect to the internet and download stuff. It won't.

Their conclusion: It's far too old and has insufficient memory - 512 Mb.

I bought it to see if I can work a tablet, but this one is too old to be of any use.

It can't have an updated operating system. It couldn't cope.

So back it goes into its box and might be donated to another charity shop...

Time for coffee.
