Trump makes things simple for them. All they have to do is push all of the things they hate and fear into one focused point and label it Trump.

Then, anyone who disagrees with them is a Trumpie or a deplorable or whatever.

And at any point in the argument, they can bring up a non sequitur about something Trump did or said and derail the conversation.

They gravitate towards this simple, singlemindedness because they can't grasp beyond it.
