500M test kits ready to ship next week... for free... COME ON... 500M is a huge number.

Who in the world makes 500M test kits and stores them for use at "SOME SPECIAL TIME OF URGENT USE"... BS, sounds like Hunter has a test company to me.

I don't understand the push for testing. You should always social distance (because humans are filthy) and if you have the sniffles, stay home. How would taking a test change my life?

Like most of the virus response; it makes no sense.

Moron says what.....testing is the only way to not be guessing.

When you have a highly contagious virus that also presents no symptoms in large numbers of the infected.... testing is the best way to know what you actions should be: go to work or stay home, go to the Christmas party or not, etc...

A highly contagous virus that presents no symptions... LOL

That's some funny stuff, right there!

Yeah, I guess it is hard to understand for the uneducated.

HIV....a contagious virus that isn't visible (contagious via certain sexual contact)

Herpes, gonorrhea, syphilis.....also very similar and often no visible signs at the moment of transmission.

Should I go on dopey?

We notice that you had to insert the word "visible"
in order to try and make your comment remotely relevant...

And?...visible means visible symptoms or not(asymptomatic).

I don't speak "illiterate" so I'm confused?

Testing is the best way to assure you aren't spreading a virus unknowingly. For someone who may work inside every day, they could easily test more frequently to ensure they aren't unknowingly passing along the virus to coworkers.

For a business, they could test their staff regularly so that their staff isn't unknowingly spreading to each other and customers.

I'm actually disappointed with the lack of focus on testing....it should be a routine for everyone to take the rapid test.

Yep, a huge failure....you can't get a test anywhere along the East Coast from D.C. on up right now. Not available.....sold out.

If you're showing no symptoms, many people simply aren't going to test and risk having to miss work. Especially if you're an hourly employee.

We purchased several a few weeks ago, so have some on hand. We haven't done much out and about, so been saving them for the family gathering this weekend.

Thank you....your point is spot on and correct.

People who need to go to work I would consider in the essential catagory...because they have no choice.

State and Federal Govt needs to step it up and help these folks figure out how to be safe for themselves and others by providing testing and resources (at no cost to these individuals).

Businesses should have mechanisms in place to accommodate positive tests.

Yet another failure of the entire thing. The fact is we're not out of the pandemic. Everyone needs to accept that and take it seriously

Most people who don’t feel symptoms or who don’t think they might have been exposed don’t get tested. Most people who feel symptoms stay home. People who think they might have been exposed and could put their vulnerable family members or friends at risk take precautions for a week or so. Very few people get tested regularly unless they have to for work.

Yes...people shouldn't wait for symptoms to get tested.

Problem solved.

Just test yourself weekly or bi weekly even.

This is what immunologists and virologists suggest anyway

That was actually my point. Messaging should be about testing regardless.

Every pharmacy in the area is out of rapid tests today.

Insane. This should never happen.

Preach all day about what you think people should do. Most of us don’t get tested without good reason. Just because free kits are available doesn’t mean people will listen to you.

Yes, I know that people are stupid and don't want to get tested because they are stupid.

That has nothing to do with me.

Incidentally, that's exactly what Silvergurl was just saying in the Blurt thread.
She lives in Canada.

Regardless of all the gibberish about getting tested,(Posted by all the roundheaded know-nothings above) the REAL reason is because the CDC is pulling ALL the “PCR” tests of the market. Level 1 recall, (the highest level.) on December 31st, 2021. The reasons are due to high levels of inaccuracies of a PCR test which have been discussed ad nauseam previously, but of course the know nothings, many who’ve posted above.) arrogantly claimed “misinformation!”
