So? Do they own the Applebee’s? If not then they don’t get to make the rules on who eats there. If a business ( a private entity) says you got to walk like a duck, fuck a chicken and shove potato salad up your ass for entry then you can choose to do so or not. You’re rights haven't been violated one bit.

That’s what you and other people like you don’t get. You don’t have any rights when it comes to how other people run their business other than the right not to business with them. You don’t like the policy? Cry about it on social media and maybe change it or possibly ruin their business.

Think of it like your double wide trailer. You make all the rules. If you have a no shoes in the house policy, I can either (as a guest) abide by the rules and be welcome or not and be asked to leave.

Oh, I understand, and I do support a business owner's right to do business with whomever they choose and refuse service to whomever they choose.

However, this was not a choice Applebees made. They didn't decide to do the masks and the vaccine pass thing. They were told that they HAD to by the government. It's not too different from how the government says that they can't serve alcohol to anyone under 21. The government sets the rule, the restaurant follows the rule.

This is not a restaurant policy, it is a government policy - and as such is an intrusion.
 
The corporation is a creation of the State. The State can set whatever restrictions on that business it sees fit.

Notice I said, "State".

The Federal government has no such authority.

Which I completely disagree with. The government (state or federal) should not be legally allowed to make your business serve anyone you don’t want to.

But don’t confuse that with not living with the consequences. If you choose to be a bigot and exclude certain people from your place of business the people that are excluded have the right to peaceably protest. Which may end your business, which in this case I think happened.

The OP is a lie, didn't really expect that ironically. These four got what they deserved for attempting to break the law. Its hilarious how the people who are pissed off the government is actually doing its job and enforcing the law are the same people who are always front and center about if you don't want the police to kill you you should behave yourself like a good sheep.
