But per the article Omar is complicit in fraud. And it should be of concern to every American that a member of Congress is a thoroughgoing fraud with deep connections to some very nasty people

And no, Jews do not generally hold the belief that a person his guilty of his or her father's crimes. I gather antisemitism is another of your stellar attributes. If anything, Christians- such as the Roman Catholic Church, which long held Jews collectively responsible for the Crucifixion, are more guilty of that tendency (the RCC officiallymoved away from that position in the 20th century).

Never one to consider anything in depth, are you phrodreau? Let's see what Exodus 34:6-7 has to say on the subject, shall we? Per the NIV:

And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, “The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, 7 maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children and their children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation.”

Clearly this is what the ancient Jews believed the Lord did; it does not say what Jews as people may do. That subtle distinction seems to be lost on you.

But this is much more to say going back to your snotty "I thought only Jews did that" jibe. Even if some Jews thought they could enforce that which Exodus says is the Lord's province, virtually nothing in the Jewish tradition has given men the right to do so. In modern times, Jews made no effort to take retribution against the children of Nazis who were culpable in the mass murder of Jewish men, women, and, appalling, children during the Holocaust. Nor have they taken action against any descendants of Hamas leaders or those terrorists who actually murder Jews. In fact, the Israeli Defense forces have consistently tried to minimize casualties among non-combatants.

However, various Christian and Moslem groups throughout history have considered Jews guilty simply on the basis of ancestry. Nonetheless, you chose to focus purely on a misreading of scripture about what ancient Jews understood was the Lord's practice. Looked at in that light, your banal, mendacious assertion can reasonably be ascribed to nothing more than Jew hatred.

Once again, as is your practice, you present a half-baked excuse for an argument that simply withers when placed under even a half-discerning lens. Speaking of things banal and false, that applies to much of what you have to say, sir.

Now, I don't know if Ilhan Omar's father was mixed up with Mohamed Siad Barre in any way. What I do know is, sources including (in fact especially) The Gateway Pundit have a history of making baseless claims like this against father and daughter alike. So while the possibility exists that they're right this time, it's a classic boy-who-cried-wolf situation. And the right wing media have no one but themselves to blame for that.

Well, the left is still trying to hold whites guilty of owning slaves, and that was over 175 yrs ago, and that's like 8 generations past. Not to mention that a lot of blacks owned slaves, not just some whites.
