Let's stop pretending resistance to disease-containment measures is "liberty"

If there had been an outbreak of typhoid in Philadelphia in 1787, no FF would have raised an eyebrow at every house with a reported case being placed under quarantine. If it were smallpox, none would have objected to universal compulsory vaccination.

I'll do that when you stop pretending that Omicron is the equivalent of your examples.

Plus, the FFs were MUCH better than any current politician. People properly trusted them, unlike the grifters that currently are destroying our Nation.

Peck your gaslighting attempt is lame.

It does mean liberty, that's why you authoritarian control freaks are SO HARD for it despite it being a very very mild disease.

Agreed. I'll entertain the debate that we should have compulsory vaccinations when politicians, the media and health officials start saying that 99.49% of people who've contracted covid have survived.

The FF knew that power corrupts and that includes themselves. The Constitution was set up to prevent even themselves from letting the power get to their heads because they were human too.

Amen and pass the plate!

On a side note: It seems to be the progeny of the FF who hate them
and the adherents of their philosophy who clamor to flock here...

You and yours are quickly becoming the minority.

I see tar and feathers in your future.

I suspect even the most ardent of the bullies will accept the science and admit that these "containment measures" as peck calls them, simply don't work.

Of course, if everyone wore a mask for two weeks we could bend the curve

Everything your party does works when you are in power
and whenever you are out of power...

;) ;)

Control freak Karen is triggered by people who don't hate freedom as much as it does.

He's one of those idiots who truly believe that he will benefit from authoritarian rule.

He cannot imagine being on the bottom like he is now...

His "intellekt" will be richly rewarded
by the new masters of the universe.

What would be the point of that? Like all information relevant to the pandemic, anyone can find it online.

You always fail when you pretend to speak for all people.

I don't think they were better in any real meaning of the term than the current politicians. They simply were involved in a different game that frankly too many people don't want to return to.

People did trust them but that was because until right around Nixon the Media had a tacit agreement to sheild politicians from exposure and politicians believed in certain boundaries. I'd be shocked it we found that JFK didn't get some from Marilyn. Would you have kicked her out of your bed? Fast forward to Monica and didn't they have to cover up that Gore (I think, I was like 18 at the time) had a mixed race baby? I don't recall if it was ever proven one way or the other but that was a real thing! I also remember in the 90's I think that we got to see just how much Jefferson (Again not looking it up but one of the FF) was definitely dipping in some chocolate.

Our country isn't so much being destroyed as we are trying to course correct and it sucks and it hurts.

Do you even know what Gaslighting is? Cus it doesn't seem like you do, not in the dictionary sense which you like nor in the vernacular which is my go to.

The FF knew that power corrupts and that includes themselves. The Constitution was set up to prevent even themselves from letting the power get to their heads because they were human too.

They sure set up a system that would keep the power in the hands of very few people if they believed power corrupts. Which is really more of a lie we tell ourselves than something that is inherently true.

There really isn't a whole lot that was set in place to prevent power from going to their heads in spirit nor in rules as written.

They did object. The Federal Government hasn’t the Constitutional authority to mandate vaccines, PERIOD! States do but not the Feds. Regardless, NO government is going to force their experimental “vaccine” on me! You want to live like that, move to Venezuela!

You always fail when you pretend to speak for all people.

One can safely speak for the FFs in this context, because in their time quarantines and compulsory vaccinations were established measures and nobody questioned their propriety.
