I just heard there's a Miami Vice movie coming out, which reminds me of something I never understood: Why is it called that? Crockett and Tubbs never seem to bust any pimps or prostitutes, only drug dealers. Are they a vice squad, or are they not?

the title is a subtle innuendo that the two of them were fucking each other.

straight men do not run around in pastel linen, regardless of where they live. and don johnson was every man in hollywood's hose bag when he was young and pretty. AND, that black guy whose name i can't remember-he was supposed to be dionne warwick's toy boy and eveyone in their right mind already knows that dionne is a big old dyke. so, please!

I just learned there’s a movie coming out next year based on the 1980s TV series Miami Vice (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miami_Vice). That reminded me of something I’ve always wondered: Why did they call the show Miami Vice? I never saw Crockett and Tubbs bust a hooker, that I can recall. They seemed to spend all their time going after drug dealers. Shouldn’t it have been called Miami Narcs?
