Punctuation and grammar are mega annoying at times and create a sense of restriction, not to mention a complete waste of time and take the focus of the main component of writing, the content.

I’m all for commas, apostrophises, exclamation marks, fullstops, brackets and such however there’s many elements of punctuation that are just so painstakingly annoying.

The beauty of writing to me is the way it allows for one to freely express themselves, the way the words flow, unfortunately grammar and punctuation often halt this process and plant doubt in the mind.

Even grammar and punctuation zealots profess that there’s many rules that are just plain dumb.

To me writing and grammar/punctuation are almost two different forms of art in their own own right.

Grammar/punctuation aren’t creative, it’s too structured and rule based therefore doesn’t allow for any kind of individuality. It’s the result of someone else’s ideas. I guess that doesn’t sit well with me either, everyone’s lingo is completely different and often grammar and punctuation make every writer sound exactly the same.

I think I will continue writing, perhaps on different forums but for now, I find this particular forum to be too anal (no pun intended) and takes itself too seriously, It’s just a forum after all, and creates the illusion that it’s some kind of newspaper or something with professional editors and publishers
Even comments have to be moderated before they appear.
That’s lame, I also find the forum to be very cluttered with a poor layout,

I’ll continue reading, however will no longer be wasting any more precious time and thought with such nonsense on here.

My criticism of the forum, of course, only designed to make it a better place, as it could be soooooo much better. That’s if I’m allowed to say ‘soooooo.’

Explanation marks? LMAO.

Sorry your story was rejected. Better luck next time!

Oh there won’t be a next time, that’s the point I was making, as this forum blows! And is littered with double standards therefore it cannot be taken seriously with bias publishers, it’s absurd to me that ‘publishers’ exist on such a forum, for pretend stories for pretend authors haha

Didn't you get enough of this on the other board?

Any writer will tell you: You have to master those rules before you get to break them.

It's a damned fine thing that they pay us to post here. I use the money for liquor-n-h000rs.

Reminds me, Laurel has been late with the check. I still get the titty pics, but cash is what I'm after.

If you want your story to be hard to read, that's your buisness I guess.

Most authors want their story to be readable, without too much hassle or ambiguity. Hence, the focus on punctuation, paragraphs, etc.

"Walls of Text" are neither fun nor enjoyable to read, no matter how good, or how erotic, the story may be.

That’s entirely subjective, based on how obsessed you are with grammar and punctuation, I overlook grammar and punctuation for what I perceive as more important and creative factors of writing, such as analogies and the way people articulate themselves.

poor baby

I don’t believe so, I believe anyone who chooses to bend to such hypocrite rules and double standards that has their freedom of speech restricted and required to be approved of, the ‘poor babies’ as they’re submissive who are only allowed to speak with their masters permission, lol fuck that, unless it turns you on.

Yeah, what?
