I am usually never home on Saturday night but I just had the misfortune of seeing the most dispicable propagandistic garbage masquerading as apparently some sort of supposed attempt at "humor." I had never seen so-called Saturday Night Live in my life. While the level of dispicable nastiness and viciousness, and it goes without saying one sided bias, was, to put it mildly, shocking even by today's media standards, what was most serious was the show's blatantly illegal trademark infringement.

They literally had a segment using the Fox News trademark on the screen for about ten full minutes while openly disparaging the network and one of its hosts by name. The stylistic of the Fox mark did not appear to even be changed at all. The casual viewer would literally think they were watching Fox News. Thats one reason why trademark laws exist in the first place. Fox could easily sue the living daylights out of NBC and SNL for trademark infringement and disparagement.

The only question is why would Fox NOT sue? If they don't sue one can conclude they are in on it with NBC and are willing to allow their own programming to be disparaged because they agree with the radical leftist message from SNL. Either that or they are simply being negligent to their investors in not defending their brand.

Whether or not "SNL" has a legal right to disparage those it disagrees with politically in the most nasty, hateful, and dishonest ways imaginable is debatable, but it doesn't have a right to falsely represent itself as another network and engage in overt trademark and intellectual property infringement.

I don't like the American Left either,

but I watch NBC because they have sexier sound bites.images and presenters (like Lester Holt).

Half of Fox news hosts are dated, boring, humorless White farts.
Fox news is in desperate need of a face lift (like employing Piers Morgan lookalikes? or Megyn Kelly? Candacee Owens?)

The reality is they don't have any lawsuit they can file, no reasonable person would think that they were watching Fox News. If there was even slightest chance of winning a lawsuit against SNL with their presentations Trump would have destroyed them during his time in office. There wouldn't have been anything left of them.

Reminds me of the recent dustup with Jimmy Kimmel and Rep. Lauren Boebert. For those of you who didn't hear, Kimmel played some videos of Boebert and asked people if they thought SNL had gone too far in parodying her...only the videos really were of Boebert.

FOX loves the attention because free advertising parody/satire. Their demographic isn’t the SNL demographic and if the base even notices it probably fires them up.

Satire ftw

Lmao

Good luck on your lawsuit

I always get confused whether I'm watching the real channel or satire.

I remember once in 1970s I tuned in to SNL but it had been pre-empted by professional wrestling.

I watched for 10 minutes before I figured out this was not an SNL parody of professional wrestling.

Gee, all you have to do is look at the number on the channel knob.
