New variant Omicron sets fear into the futures market as cases spread out of South Africa and start to appear all over the planet.

Omicron has the makings of something more serious than we have seen so far with Covid. Spike proteins with many mutations which could make it not only highly contagious, more deadly and also total immune to any vaccines currently available.

It is unknown whether this is will be the case yet and it is one to watch and it is the consequence of unchecked exposure and spread in the poorest places with high human densities across the globe.

Preliminary indicators show it's just as infectious as Delta. The mutations of the spike proteins seem to be the most troubling based on what I've read. If antibodies can't bind to it, the vaccine efficacy will drop immensely

FACT: Even though you're fully vaxxed, you can still spread Covid.

Thus, your argument that you'll protect others by getting vaxxed yourself fails in inception.
