Because the vaccines don't work perfectly, like, say, a smallpox vaccine does. But they do help; they make infection less likely, and, if it happens, easier to recover from.

The point is, Ishtar wants to "end the pandemic," but, if he is at all in agreement with the rest of the RW, rules out any approach that might conceivably do that. It is not something that can be achieved by electoral victory alone. There is no Republican candidate who has something up his sleeve that hasn't been tried yet.

Except the vaccines seem to work pretty well at first, but the effects fade fast, within a few months. That's why heavily-vaxxed countries are seeing huge rises in infections.

Stop trying to promote vaccination. Let them die. It is their choice. Let them. Sooner or later, their insurance companies will stop paying their medical costs....which will lead to more deaths from other issues. Again...their choice to die. Let them.
