Candlelight vigils
You’re there
In the ones and zeros
Of my thoughts daily
Our correspondence
Our story
Written in
Years of scrolling
Through typed
Thought bubbles
Corrected spellings
Less than threes
And that intangible thing
You know the one
It is between each letter
The space there
As a thought forms
Before the three dots
The “He is typing”
And it is after
Every silence that makes
Tears seem necessary
And a commodity
Traded for with solitude
Our dreams
Sent in daily pictures
Silly videos
Audio snippets
Just to say
The obvious
Which is
I miss you here with me
I love you more than words
And
Everything else
That doesn’t fit
In between
Or before
Or after
When you need it to
There is this worry
Constantly
Of abandonment
It is the snake in Eden
Whispering
‘Those were His last words to you
And there’s nothing you can do
About any of it’
I hate being this vulnerable
This helpless
This broken
And yes, I concede
I’m wonderful,
But so are you
And that has nothing to do
With how I feel
All the time
Inside
About you
Where fires don’t just get doused
And candlelight vigils
Held with my laptop screen
And my iPhone camera
Are held nightly
With the hope
That maybe
They will guide you
To me
To fill the cracks again
To blow the smoke away
To hold me in your heart

Candlelight vigils
. . .
Hmm.
I had decided to hold back and read and view all the posts this coming Sunday. But curiosity got the best of me.
I am glad I had a peek.
That "rope garter" is perfect. It is you in two feet of coloured rope. I love it!
(I am still saving the rest for Sunday)
I'll use a different description - Intriguing![]()
Ahaha - well - not to shock you but I can behind - in front - below - above this tie- dye. Really any way.![]()
I hate to tell you this Moochie ... There might be a moth or 2 in the closet eating your garments. BUT they have perfect placement.
I love your sense of style and always look forward to seeing the pictures of you outdoors in varied locations.
The pictures are lovely, as are you, both inside and out.![]()
I do enjoy when you go outside.
Huh.
You know? Maybe you're onto something there...![]()
Is that the date already? only a month till Christmas! You look almost as if setting a challenge. Am I up to it, probably not, but I can dream.
^ this is very well said
This touched a chord. https://i.imgur.com/Cx1ef08.gif
I’ve done a few candlelight vigils in my time and watching for those 3 dots to appear seems to take a lifetime.
Lovely rope work. I presume it has a turn or two around your waist to keep it secure.
*hugs*
Evening.
I loved all the pics as usual as well as the poem.
Wow!! Have you ever tried to publish your poems other than here? The way you put the words to feelings is extraordinary. To my detriment I don't always see them in a timely fashion. I do very much enjoy them when I do! Be well and a Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
This pulled at my heartstrings as well. <<hugs>>
I like the imagery for this one. *hugs*Fanning the flames
I am a human
And when a fire
Lit behind me
Burns
I never turn
And show it my back
For I am not
One to shy away
From warmth
I am human
And when a fire
Lit before me
Flames raise higher
I let the heat
Kiss me
Covering my cheeks
In its sizzling words
And thank me
For listening
I am human
And when a fire
Lit inside me
Slowly dies
I will stand beside it
Until the embers
Call my name
Into the darkness
Of our souls

Something universal in the world of cyber-relationships.
You would be right! This is a basic gunslinger harness with an added leg ladder. Sweet, simple, fast… a little something to get through my day.![]()

Sometimes the first attempt is the best one.Thank You
I give thanks today
For the words said
And the ones kept
For chasing waterfalls
And sticking to known numbers
For warm houses
And cozy socks
For so much food
And for just desserts
And
For all the remembered moments
never forgotten
***Author note: I may need to revise this one: I’m super tired and the pillow calls my name.
