I'm having ham....

Ham would be awesome. SWMBO want's a pile of turkey sandwiches.

turkey here... brined and roasted. first time i ever shoved a whole orange up a turkey's arse (along with carrot/celery/rosemary/thyme/sage/onion) but it works

Smoked turkey, but also serving some pork country style ribs for a little variety

Turkey is eaten for Thanksgiving because it's big enough to feed a large family gathering.

But so is a ham.

Does all that make a stuffing you eat, or is it only to flavor the flesh?

I don't think that's anatomically correct...or do you do that while they're still alive? :)

I made Teriyaki Chicken in the wee hours and ate a handful of dried Cranberries. Does that count?

I ordered turkey and fixings from a steakhouse.

All I have to do is pop it in the oven between quarters...

I like ham.

For T-day and X-mas I always do a turkey and at least one other protein. Duck, Ham, pork butt., beef roast, short ribs.. X-mas also gets Scallops in alfredo, topped with brie and baked.

Turkey roll. Real turkey though, not the processed and pressed stuff.

Canned taters, package gravy, cheesy french cut green beans, creamed corn. Boxed stuffing mix.

The college kids are home, so I figure I might as well make what they like. It’s filets with mashed and baked potatoes, stuffing, asparagus and brussel sprouts.

Yeah that was tasty. Probably the most unthanksgiving-like meal I've ever had but if I weren't full I'd eat it all over again. :D

The lobster was insane. Just perfect and buttery. It was better with nothing on it then then lemon butter. A couple pieces of shrimp rounded it out nicely. One baked potato on the side. For dessert it was banana slices dredged in chocolate and dipped in chopped peanuts.

I'm stuffed.

Sounds very nice. We're being traditional, here.

I'm thinking of a redoux of last year for Christmas, with regard to the proteins; red king crab and a prime (real prime) rib roast.

But maybe, I can get some Kodiak weathervane scallops. Christmas is so far away.

Broiled lobster tails, stuffing, roasted carrots. About to finish off with a classic ice cream sandwich. Gimlets and wine. Zzzzzzzz.

Crab and a rib roast - sounds good to me.
