Idris Elba (Luther), Jimmy Akingbola (The tower) Raymond Fearon (Above suspicion) and so on.

I find them more appealing than White male British actors.

I don't think it has necessarily to do with race.
Because I'm indifferent to American actors like Morgan Freeman and Denzel Washington. (good movies and acting, but 6-7 out of 10 when it comes to personal appeal). By contrast, I'm fascinated by Samuel Jackson.

I just find British Black actors to be self-assured, mysterious and sophisticated.

The accent? Great British School of theater? Recent immigrant roots? Parents' country of origin?

Almost all British actors, black or white, have been classically trained including performing in Shakespeare.

Brtish Drama schools are world-class and very few actors can get anywhere in the UK without having attended one. They are actors before they become known.

I think you're right, British Drama schools are The Best in the world.
Just like Russia with it's Ballet, France with Visual arts and so on.

You can see it clearly when they're employed in American movies.

They are just as good as the American lead actors.
The difference being that those American lead actors are America's creme de la creme, whereas their British co-stars are just one among many among British actors.

I also think it the level of attractiveness has to do with ancestral roots.

Most British Black actors that I find attractive are 2nd generation from Nigeria, Sierra Leone and so on.
I find Somali men, for example to be quite unattractive,
just like Irish men and Sean in Europe. (I find Irish women, by contrast to be very attractive).
