The migrants think the streets of the UK are paved with gold. We provide accommodation (not the greatest but better than a tent), a living allowance, and free Covid jabs. Once here, they can vanish. They can get forged documents to enable them to work since the UK doesn't have a national Identity card scheme, unlike Europe.

Most migrants originally came here on student or tourist visas and just stayed when their visas expired. Unless they are caught driving a car, their chances of being found are minimal. As illegal immigrants, they can't get a UK driving licence, so cannot get insurance for the car.

Whether or not they are bogus is up to the courts. If you want it to be up to someone else, you need to change the law.
