A Republican in Glasgow? Conservative Climate Caucus founder Rep. John Curtis looks to bring GOP up to speed.

GLASGOW, Scotland — Given that former President Barack Obama entered the U.S. into the Paris climate accord only to have his successor, Donald Trump, reverse course and pull out of the agreement, and that President Biden's ambitious climate proposals have received no outward GOP support, it can be tempting to think that no Republican lawmaker is concerned about climate change.

Coulda, shoulda, woulda...,

20-20 hindsight.

What would the world look like now if we had crippled our industry 40 years ago with nonsense.

He's probably Biblically-inspired by the caning of the tides...

With technology, all things are possible, including reducing the influence of the sun.

We actually have. It's why today we don't have ten cylinder cars. Today's 6 cylinder cars put out more horsepower and have more torque than 10 cylinder vehicles from 40 year ago. It's why cars have catalytic converters. We've also been moving away from coal to natural gas which is cheaper, cleaner and more efficient. If we could have built more nuclear plants, we would be further along. Nuclear is the only power source that does not leave a carbon foot print.

And the Greenie Wienies just fucking hate it, because, you know, the Bomb...

All of which basically indicates that it's a hell of a lot more about a political agenda than it is "saving the planet."

It's an issue tailor-made for low-information voters and Liberal Arts majors.

It has everything a good novel should have, fear, suspense, enemies and
a golden purely political solution looking for a hero for the cause,

who's gotta be strong, and who's gotta be fast
And who's gotta be fresh from the fight!

And as we all know, heroes ain't cheap.

;);)

Climate change denial in all parties is going to gradually fade away as the climate gets undeniably worse, which will happen, because the present political barriers retard remediation.
