Question about submitting an edited story

Hello, I could use some advice.

I want to submit an edited version of my story, Booty Shorts - The Anniversary Gift. However, the current title takes up the entire character limit, so I can’t add “EDITED” to the end of the title when submitting. I tried submitting the same title and adding “EDITED” and a note in the note to the editor field, but it rejects it saying I already have a story of the same name.

Any thoughts/ideas/suggestions?

I'd truncate the title so you can add "EDITED" to the end, and put the full title into the notes to editor.

Also good idea to add a link to the story you want to replace in the notes field.

Here's what you do:

Submit the edit with "Booty Shorts - EDITED"

In the Notes section, put "This is an EDIT for Booty Shorts - The Anniversary Gift."

It worked

I submitted it as "Booty Shorts - The AnniversEDITED" with a note and a link to the original story. It finally (after over two weeks!) was posted.

Or put ‘EDITED’ first and fill in as much of the original title as you can. It never hurts to describe what and why you are changing things in the Note to Admin section.

I recently did this with two stories. I truncated both titles so I could get EDITED onto the title lines then put the full titles into the Notes. Both were updated without an issue, other than it taking a bit over a week (but that's well known for EDITS taking longer).
