and encouraging others to leave in their droves, after he once encouraged them to stay while the gop attempted to rediscover its balance and roots after the insurrection...
"I hoped that the extremism we were seeing – those questioning the results of the 2020 election, those advocating against a peaceful transition of power, those defending the terrorists who attacked the Capitol on Jan. 6, those ignoring science and advocating for horse dewormer as a public health measure – was a fringe element," wrote Gonzalez. "While many Republicans failed to show leadership during Trump's presidency, it seemed that in the wake of Jan. 6, those leaders would finally stand up for truth and democracy. I was wrong."

"One of the few remaining tools to influence the Republican Party is to sever ties. So I urge remaining Republicans who stand for truth and democracy to vote with their feet, and leave."

His reason for leaving the Party is he could never get more that 9.8% of a Republican Party primary vote and that was on 2012. He's always been a Rino and is finally admitting to being a pussy who cannot stand the heat in the kitchen. So let him shelter somewhere else, we don't need him. It's time for Americans to stand up and be strong, obviously he isn't up to the task. Good riddance.

Which says all that needs to be said about the swarmy clowns now controlling the Republican Party, Rightguard.

between this and trump's calls for trumplicans to boycott the '22&'24 elections, greene's panic-tweeting that they need to vote... her georgia 'teletown hall' poll showed approximately 4% of trump's georgia base weren't going to bother voting because they believed the very lies she and the other culprits have been pushing!

In a series of tweets, Greene also noted that Republican Gov. Brian Kemp would have lost the gubernatorial election against progressive voting rights activist Stacey Abrams if just 4% of the Georgia GOP electorate opted out of voting.

reaping and sowing come to mind...

Yeah, the call for strong men and women to stand up for their rights, country, and Constitution, kinda leaves you out doesn't it?

Thank you for reminding us what you stand for "Patriotism, the virtue of the vicious, and the last refuge of the scoundrel"

What does our resident cud-chewer have to say about the Democrat Yang
not to mention the growing numbers of Democrat Congresspeople who
are retiring rather than face the wrath of the voters during the midterms?

The "heat" is irrationality.

We know you're an old and stupid trumptard, but try to stay on topic.

Never heard of this guy. Apparently he’s a tech lawyer and columnist for the AZ Republic. Does he even hold elective office?

What is this all about "trump's calls for trumplicans to boycott the '22&'24 elections" ??

IF the dope is running how can he win an election his fanatics don't vote in ?

I believe it's the GOP facing a greater loss in retirees. Yang is a wild card -- he talks about starting a new party, which might be no more than a personal vehicle, like the Reform Party was to Perot -- but if it has any actual ideology, no one can now say what it would be.

Umm, no. Your post is a reflection on how little you think of anyone but yourself.

well, he either believes his strong stance will encourage enough to continue to try and reinstate him as president, or he knows he has no real chance of running (successfully) in '24 but can handily use all the fundraising off the gullible he can get.

he has a habit of that 'if i can't be striker then i'm taking my ball home' attitude... if republicans refuse to endorse him as their choice to run, or those in the house and senate don't bow down to revere him as fully as he'd like, he's threatening to demolish the republican chances full stop.

i don't know the numbers, but there's certainly a lot more talk about trump's behaviour than Yang's actions.

time may give credence to Yang's novel party, as more decide to join it and it develops into something more mature... as it grows, it might attract more middle-grounders from all sides of the aisles and could prove to be a steadying voting block to curb the more extreme of either main party: if their votes are needed to get something passed, it offers some kind of balancing mechanism. But time will tell. It also seems apparent that the route of the Democrat party–the benefits they want to drive forward for the majority of americans–is highly popular amongst the majority of the american population. So, it would be unsurprising that most the votes of the new party would go to bolster that view forward, even as it moderates the most 'extreme' calls that alienate the middle-grounder conservatives. Having said that, they'd also have the freedom to vote on more conservative-based issues if that seems the right thing for them to do. Both main parties will need–to some extent–court those necessary votes.

seems the republican party has more to lose both due to Yang's innovation and trump's pouting.

of course, i've already given my opinion about that so aj is just being his usual, disingenuous, despicable self :)

Exactly!! They really need a massive dose of self awareness. LMFAO

The "heat" is the exposure of Rino and Democrat lies.

You never can seem to identify any. You speak of defending "the Constitution," but the Constitution is never what you seem to think it is.

Who the fuck is "Gonzales?"

From the OP-linked article:

On Wednesday, writing for The Arizona Republic, tech lawyer and conservative columnist Robert Gonzalez — who just months before published another op-ed urging wavering Republican voters to stick out the chaos in the GOP and reform it from within — announced that he has had enough, and is leaving the party himself.

Who the fuck is "Gonzales?"

An obscure former Republican Butters managed to sort out from the whale shit at the bottom of the ocean in order to pretend there is a stampede of members who want to leave the GOP.:D;)

No stampede, but there is a definite trickle.
