Editing story after having an “upload date”

Hello, I submitted a story and had received the date 10/17/21 with an orange ‘new’ sticker. I also had to ask them to add the Ch. 01 at the end because I myself did not have enough characters, which they had done.

I just noticed a typo when looking over and have edited the story, removed the Ch. 01 because it would not save otherwise, saved and resubmitted again, knowing it will be in the bottom to be reviewed again. The request for the title is still in the note to mod.

Now, the upload date has changed to “pending ... minutes ago” and the title is changed back to its previous form without the mod’s add of Ch. 01 BUT it still has the ‘new’ sticker.

I guess my question is, why is the ‘new’ sticker still there? Will the mods see the sticker and review it more quickly? Or will they miss the note to the mod? Or maybe it will get stuck on pending now?

If you edit a story while it is pending, it is treated as a new submission again, and goes back into the queue.

Will the remaining ‘new’ sticker have an effect?

If he edited after the new sticker was up, it should have lost the new sticker after he reupped it. According to his profile he hasn't got any stories at all yet!

I think the important thing is whether or not it kept the date, not the sticker.

You'll find out in 24 hours.

By resubmitting, my guess is the old version will go live, you'll be stuck with it until the later version gets processed, in a week or so.
