Question, is there a way to edit your story after it has been published? I found two mistakes that need fixed.

Yes - you can revert it to a draft, make your edits, and then resubmit under the same title and then add EDIT to the end of the title. I did this recently on a story because I made formatting mistakes that drove me crazy.

It does mean that it gets pushed to the bottom of the priority list for republishing, though. Be prepared to wait a while - I think mine took eight days? It might not be worth it for two errors.

You can find all of the details in the FAQ on the site about submitting stories.

oh yeah, i forgot to mention to put EDIT at the end of the title.

Just submit the new version with all the same information except add '- EDIT' to the title. Also, in the note to Admin tell them what you changed, etc. You might also add a link to the story.

It will take about a week for the edited version to post.

I never knew one could "revert" to a draft - I mean, utilize the existing text. I always kept a copy of the original submitted text as a separate file, and then re-submitted that with the corrections contained within it.

It would be a lot easier to use the text already published and correct that, keep it as a draft, and then resubmit it and wait for a while. So how to I do that? Do you mean copy the existing text and make a new Word file out of that?

Thr FAQ says:

"Simply submit the new version as you submitted the old one, only adding the word "EDITED" to the title (ex. "My Sexy Firefighter Ch. 03 - EDITED") so that we know to replace the old text with the new text. We will then replace the original text with the new text."

That implies that you have to have a "new" file - not simply fixing the old one.

You cannot access your original text on here. Use your existing word file and make the changes and resubmit as stated before.

Sorry, yes, this is more correct; I fear I was misleading with the word "revert."

I'm on too many different platforms with too much different terminology! My apologies.

Thank you, that's what I thought but I hoped there was a work-around. At least, I don't do it very often. I've got one to post now.

I understand; there are platforms that allow one to do it that way.

I post at one site that you have to post text. You can't upload files at all. You also have to your coding, but it a system of highlight and select the proper codes. However, more often than not the nesting doesn't work. It takes me forever get the text the way I want it there.
