Stories They Love to Hate

I just posted the fifth story of my series about a couple starting a swinger lifestyle, and I posted it in the Loving Wives category. I switched categories due to the extra-marital sex.

WOW! Two people added it to their favorites. But 15 people rated it for an average of 1.4. If those two gave it a 4, then I got thirteen 1's!

I wonder if that's a record?

Just Brutal!
What about (10) 1's + (4)2's & (1)3 ? JK.

I'm now up to twenty-three 1's out of 43 ratings, with ten 4's!

This is the Loving Wives category, where losers seem to destroy any story that isn't a BTB story.

I knew it would receive 1's, but 23 of them? Wow!

In the future, if the extra marital sex is agreed upon, as it always is in the swinger lifestyle, then put it in group sex as a fun three-or more-some. Putting anything in Loving wives where the wife has the nerve to explore her sexuality, and the husband lets her, is met with hate

Then again, what isn't in that cesspool?

I agree.

I knew this from my past experience with the "Getting Started" stories in Loving Wines. But, I thought I'd try it as an experiment.

I've had 5 people tag it as a favorite and started following me. And based on the rating average changing over time, I must have about 10 rating it 4 or 5. But, it must now have about 23 to 27 1's to get less than a 2 average.

There are a few formatting errors (ie, an <i> tag for italics only works as far as the line end, not until the </i>), and they erased my extra lines to indicate a change of scene. So, I'll wait a few days and repost a replacement, and change the category.

Currently the most popular story in the Loving Wives category (over both the last 7 days and last 30 days) is a sort of detective story that has no wife in it and no “loving wives” elements at all.

So there you have it: what the LW category readers want are detective stories. Frankly they’re tired of the wife stuff. ;)

If they're tired of the wife stuff, then why are they reading wife stuff? Are they that dense?

Did that top rated detective story have a BTB plot? I would guess so, since it's in the Loving Wives category.

No. IMO, they're lurking and 1-bombing any wife/spouse sharing stories, due to some personal issues. I've received a few comments from people saying "I support you. Take the category back!"

Yes, they are that dense.

The top-rated detective story does not have a BTB plot. It doesn’t relate to Loving Wives at all.

The revenge loons do 1-bomb wife sharing stories. This is known.

Loving Wives...

are we still discussing this?

it's polarised. you'll never win.

i seriously wonder for the sanity of some of that crowd. and i'm feared because they walk among us.

...and breed.

Loving Wives is sort of the experimental literature section of the site. As long as someone in the story is married, was married, thought about getting married, or is married to their job, it's fair game.

The audience is split between swingers who want to read about their cute blonde five-foot wives getting impaled on giant poles, and bitter divorce trauma victims who want to see the cheating wife burn at the stake.

It's the best.

I just read a story that contained the following...

"This is a black cock." Jill said. "Not to be confused with the smaller white dick or penis. Notice the increased length and girth. Look at the sizable balls for delivering potent black sperm."

Lol. Some people are just asking to get 1-bombed aren't they?! it was in the interracial section but still...

"This is a black cock," Jill said, "by which I don't mean that its former owner was dark-skinned, although in fact he was. But no, it is called black because its cum is not merely spectacular in its voluminous emission, but also black as the crudest of oils - and as thick, warm and delicious as fresh-drawn cream. So potent is the black sperm that no woman could - should the merest drop of that fertile product touch her intimate lips - fail to conceive."

Erotica is about arousal. Being aroused by the image of supersized equipment on black men is standard fare. It's not, in itself, a putdown of blacks by any means, and I've never met a black man who objected to the image--and I've met more than a few in that context. If you don't like stories with the element, don't read them. I'm quite confident that we all have some sexual turn ons that don't impress some other folks but that we're glad this Web site let's us enjoy without being judgmental.

Angry men.

So many haters on here. I put two stories in LW and both were instantly attacked by angry men. I don’t mind, I actually feel sorry for them. They obviously only believe that men are allowed to have fun in the bedroom. I imagine them as fat sweaty old men, henpecked by their wives (if they even have them.) They get aroused by my stories then feel guilty. One man gave me a lecture on morals. That was a bit odd as when I clicked on his name he writes incest stories. So it’s not okay for a woman to have a bit of fun but it’s okay for him to shag his sister. Very nice...

LW is like a piranha tank. You throw flesh in and watch the feeding frenzy.

The majority of interracial sex on this site, and all of it in LW, is racist as fuck. Demeaning to the black man in how he's portrayed, demeaning to the white woman because its always written she's somehow more of a whore with a black person

And to anyone who in this day and age considers interracial sex a taboo...you have issues.

I write interracial character and they have sex with people of other ethnic groups, but their race is never used as the point of emphasis, its two characters having sex pure and simple

As kind of an aside, hotwife material in the paid market is received far differently than it is here. It sells well, and its not bombarded with nasty reviews, most likely because its a readership that has $2.99 in their pocket to pay for something rather than come here and hoover free stuff then bash it under the safety of anon

Those reviews aren't left on paid sites either because you need an account to do it, and too many complaints about hateful reviews will get you banned.

It all sells well, but the BBC stuff seems to sell better. I have a few hotwife stories for sale, they do okay, but not as well as others because I won't write that trope and love how the people who will yammer about 'social justice' and scream racism every five minutes don't know it when its right in front of them, course people's causes can be selective

Delete and submit again?

I haven’t read the story but it certainly seems you should have stuck with Erotic Couplings as both chapters 5 and 6 have been received far worse than the previous chapters. You could consider deleting chapter 5 and submitting it again in EC where it will definitely receive a better reception. But if you do this you would also have to delete and resubmit chapter 6. It depends on what effect the 1-bombers have had on you.

If you did resubmit both chapters you would lose the votes and also lose the comments on chapter 5 (I see chapter 6 doesn’t have any) which wouldn’t be any hardship. Just a suggestion you might consider. Swapping categories is rarely a good idea.

I've resolved to stop posting to the LW category because of those haters automatically 1-bombing it.

But the different categories attract different readers for a reason. Group sex is not received in the same way as romantic sex or Erotic couplings. Readers of one category might hate something if they're not expecting it. And in this "lifestyle" series, things can change from one story to the next. My first three chapters might fall in the "First Time" category or Romantic. But, the others certainly don't.

So, while sticking with one category might make sense from a big picture POV, it has it's drawbacks by hitting the audience with the unexpected.

Obviously the LW category seems to be a hard nut to crack, and I've seen plenty of commentary about it here. Has anybody from that category appeared here and explained their point of view?

You don't need to delete and resubmit to get a category change.

Just resubmit the chapters in question with EDIT added, and in the Notes to the Editor, ask for a category change. If Laurel agrees - give her logical reasons - then the category shifts, but votes and comments remain.

You learn something every day. Thanks EB. 👍
