Most people read Comics because they either fantasize about being Superman, or being With Superman.
How many people desire to be with a bisexual person? It's twice the chance of being cheated on.
They'll end up losing viewership, they would have been better off if they created another main comic character who is gay.

Yes in the sci fi/comics universes it makes sense. It does not however when looking at it from a realistic point of view.
I can accept a super powered alien. Harder to accept one that is not only physically identical but emotionally as well.
And don't get me started on the problems of having a Superboywith Lois.
