Deplorables: please don't "pray" for people; you have no audience w/God.

Leave God alone, the poor thing. He must be sick of being annoyed by all that prayer and worship.

Ok, “abortion for any reason!” Good luck splaining that to your maker!

The following is an exhaustive list of what the Bible has to say about abortion:

1 million dead Americans from Covid that could have been prevented by wearing masks and getting vaccinated. You "splain" that to your God and let ME "splain" my beliefs to MY God.

It's so telling that Deplorables regard God as the ultimate controlling fascist. That explains quite a bit right there. :)

Between love for trump and love for God, so much about Deplorables can be explained by daddy issues.

If every conception is a gift from God, then so is every abortion. Why can’t God get it right?

Everyone gets a personal audience with God. I imagine most don't find it a very nice experience.
There is however a compelling argument that there is no hell or that no human souls are there. I find that interesting as it fits scripture and supports the loving God. Still, being judged is HARD. Anyone who has ever had an annual review at a job knows how much that sucks. Take that times a million. Would be tempting to say "let's just skip it and send me on down."

Along those same lines I've often head that we are shown our entire lives and each action judged accordingly. If that's the case then Heaven has a pretty big backlog of cases. He might only be up to people who died by woolly mammoth at this point. The waiting room must be huge.

i have no issue with people praying if it offers them some sort of inner comfort, but i think people need to realise why they pray and it's most often a case of a wish-list... if i please god enough maybe he'll grant me this stuff i want to happen or not happen

i believe some find an inner peace through prayer, but that's more about externalising an inner monologue, giving them space to think a problem through OR allowing them to simply accept they can't do shit about something so hand the guilt/grief/worry over to another. It can be a useful tool for those lacking the ability to lay down their cares without it and find peace of mind, even if it sometimes means a refusal to accept our own accountability, our own strength, or our own discomfort.

and then there are those who deal with life without the need of prayer, often living more 'christian' lives than the churchgoing god-botherers

No souls in hell? Dont you know that there's a Spanish train that runs between
Guadalquivir and old Saville where the devil keeps collecting souls because God sucks at poker.

And you TOTALLY suck at humor! Also, you just generally suck!
