We need to face the fact that it's only a crisis at the border. Once immigrants or refugees get past the border, they rarely constitute any actual problem. Despite the unlawful entry of some (and in most cases, an "illegal" is someone who entered legally and overstayed his/her visa), they are on average more law-abiding than native-born citizens. And certainly they're productive -- none of them came here for the welfare. And they pay taxes, including Social Security payroll tax even though most will never draw Social Security.
