The results of that poll fits with the whole profile of the Deplorables' mass psychosis.

They want to force their views on others, so they threaten civil war or other forms of violence. Then, when they start to get locked up for their actions, they talk about seceding.

Lately, they are violently protesting school board decisions to follow CDC guidelines for masking and vaccination. Nobody is forcing them to go to those schools! What the fuck happened with their initiatives for private schools or home schooling? If you don't like the public health measures being required by your school board or by your employer, go start your own damned school or business.

And. any state that decides to secede will have to deal with the consequences of that move toward isolation.

But mostly, Deplorables are keyboard warriors. A whole lot of whining posts.

Republicans have gone so far to the right that their party is unrecognizable from what it used to be, which was an actual political party based on a unifying set of policies.

And it won't happen. The Southern states seceded in 1861 because they saw the whole slave-labor basis of their regional economy as under threat. (It wasn't, really -- Lincoln was no abolitionist, and would have done nothing to interfere with their Peculiar Institution if they had not seceded.) But nothing that economically important is at stake now. No state is going to secede over abortion or immigration or gun control or "voter fraud" or anything else that gets the deplorables hot.
