On a project in TN, one of the crew laid down in the sunshine for a nap at noon. He woke up when the he felt the rush of air from the wings of a vulture landing to check him out. LOL.

I like 'em. Have the Thermapen and the Smoke from Thermoworks and they function flawlessly. I also have the silicone boot for the Thermapen and one of the magnets in it was interfering with operation of the Thermapen, so I removed it. The other magnet still holds the device on my grill or refrigerator. With both magnets, it had firm enough hold to put on the car and drive 70 mph.

They are fantastic! I have two of the MK4 and a thermopop. Maybe i only have three, i thought i had two thermopops. I intend on getting the Smoke this fall. I see they have a couple new products. A "Signal" that has a hunch of different inputs and its wifi. Plus, the new "One" thermopen. Guess 1.5 to 2.5 second read outs of the MK4 arent fast enough.

The emails i get from thermoworks have great deals. They are always having a sale. I see the MK4 is reduced to $84 and the "One" is $140?? Not sure, cant remember the exact price.

They store it in cellars in the permafrost. It sort of "ferments" a bit. Locals like the taste.

The Smoke works at home or at the cabin. The signal is just good enough to get to my desk in my woodshop. I was thinking about the wifi stuff, but why? Would I leave a fire going here and run off someplace? Maybe it would alert me so I could see my house burning down? I like being closer.
