If you want to make a case that things Kavanaugh did as a teenager are irrelevant now, that would be arguable. But in what comes down to a pure swearing contest between Ford and Kavanaugh, nobody in the world has any good reason to believe him over her. She had no reason at all to make any of that stuff up. And a confirmation hearing is not a criminal trial -- the "presumption of innocence" and "beyond reasonable doubt" standards do not apply.

Kavanaugh had five background checks by the FBI. One of those investigations was to be Dubya's personal secretary. This guy probably even knows if we have aliens out at Area 51. It's laughable to think that the FBI missed something like those rape allegations that many times. I don't doubt her allegations. Ford just doesn't seem to know very well exactly what happened either. The Dems. were trying to Bork Kavanaugh and they found their useful idiot.
