Was recently going through my fabric stash and came across a bunch of maroon stretch lace I forgot I had. I've never tried my hand at stitching lingerie but it would make an amazing bodysuit. Might hafta search out a pattern.

Leucospermums... thats their name. They belong to the Protea family, like full sun, little rain. Very suitable to the coastal plains here. That one is a orange ribbon variety, I have red ones out the front too. I don't think they have a common name.
Joe Blake is just rhyming slang for snake. Best to just leave them alone. Ours are not particularly aggressive here unless cornered, but they can kill you. You usually look where you are walking on paths. Inevitable you will come across one bolting across the path at some stage.
Stretch lace fabric sewing. Thats hard. There is a correct tension without being slack or stretched with it. I've been trying my hand at it trying to blend two into one, but its not an easy task.
