He played for my team. And he did me proud before and after his playing days. :rose:

But he has now paid the price for demonstrating integrity in today's Republican party.

Ohio Republican who voted to impeach Trump says he will not run for reelection in 2022

A former NFL player first elected to the House in 2018, Gonzalez was one of only 35 House Republicans who voted later that month to establish an independent commission to investigate the insurrection, which Senate Republicans later blocked.

He refuses to be associated with Fascism. Can't say I blame him.

Says the jackbooted anti-American commie. LOL

Good riddance to the DSA comrade from Ohio who finally figured out his ass was in the wrong fucking party.

He has honor, a concept quite foreign to the RWCJ (including the one who claim to be "liberal"). As such, he has no place in today's Republican party, which values fealty to the hive mind over virtues such as honor and honesty.

Interesting article. He is being primaried by Trump endorsed Max Miller and lost the support of the Ohio GOP. Nationally, Conservatives are tired of RINO’S like him, Cheney and the rest. For that, we get called “Fascists!” (Scroll up) So will the Left get called “Fascist’s” when they try to primary Joe Manchin or Kristen Sinima if they shitcan the Left’s $5trillion bullshit “infrastructure” and “nationalization of elections” bill? (Constitution is crystal clear on who is to make election law and it ISN’T Congress. It will NEVER get past the SCOTUS.)

Anyone who is against trumptards has got to a good person. There is nothing lower and more vile than a trumptard.

good

FDR was a liberal. Ayn Rand was not.

Incorrect, for the umpteen hundredth time, they were both liberals.

FDR was a "social" liberal, Rand was an "English", "Western" or "Classical" liberal much like most of the US's founding fathers.

"Liberal" has an actual meaning and it's not "Leftist and anything they say no matter how totalitarian and controlling." you and the other leftist boot lickers along with all the FOX news idiots are simply WRONG.

A bunch of uneducated plebs speaking on things you don't understand. :)

The FFs came out of the empirical British Enlightenment tradition. Rand, like Marx, came out of the rationalist Continental Enlightenment tradition of reasoning from first principles. Little good ever came from the latter. Rand is not in the same intellectual tradition as John Stuart Mill.

You're talking about the GOP's bizcon Old Guard. Take them out of the party, and what have you got left? Nationalist-populist Tea Partiers/Trumpers and not much else, which is to say, nothing at all of any value.

Adam Kinzinger thought that if he played nice and went along with all of the Dem schemes to oust Trump, the IL legislature would keep him in a nice, safe district when the state got redistricted. Ha-ha...what Adumb didn't realize is the scorpion always stings the frog...always. The IL legislature has made it all but impossible for this back-stabbing turncoat to get re-elected. Good.

How did they do that? What's the partisan makeup of his new district?

Not to mention, why should he be rewarded for simply showing a bit of common decency?

*chuckles*

What you have are hard working, American Patriots who love this Country and all it stands for. Unlike LibTard douchbags like you and your fucked up, America hating ilk! You’re loathed and if/when push comes to shove, it will not end well for you and your fairytale living princesses!

There you go throwing out concepts like "common decency" that the board Trumpettes aren't going to be able to comprehend.

Not in the Trump movement, you don't. And I never saw a single person meeting that description at the 2020 RNC, and I watched the whole thing.

It's been a few weeks since I read the piece, and I'm not inclined to go find it again, but rest assured it's definitely not tilted in favor of a GOP candidate, even a back-stabbing squish like Adam "Weepy" Kinzinger.
