To be fair, religious institutions are constantly undermining our educational institutions.
Yes, the American version of Sharia Law is just as insidious as the Middle Eastern version of Sharia Law. Both attempt to impose religious beliefs on the public at large, and both involve the merging of a fundamentalist religion with governmental functions.
We have not achieved freedom from religion in what should be non-sectarian institutions.

seriously, i am totally convinced that if covid presented as a cosmetically-impacted (rather than life-risking) disease, if the person getting it grew big weepy facial spots or if it meant their dick couldn't get erect, or if their fingernails dropped off and only grew back months later, the very people so anti vaccinations would be the first in line screaming for their rights to get their shots.

that a physical disfigurement, as side effect of Covid-19, might have
on people's willingness to accept a Covid-19 vaccination.
Today, while skimming through articles to find a confirmation, I read
that said they are tracking the MU variant.
Alpha, 2. Beta, 3. Gamma, 4. Delta, 5. Epsilon, 6. Zeta.
7. Eta, 8. Theta, 9. Iota, 10. Kappa, 11. Lambda
12. Mu
Mu is the latest variant of Covid-19, the second product of the spread of the Delta variant.
If we had treated Covid-19 as if it were a plague that could disfigure and mutilate
the exterior physical appearance of a human being, the more serious variant could
have less of a chance to emerge.
Human beings behaving as if they are members of a single cooperative tribe,
seek to protect others from becoming a host for the plague virus. That is protecting
the tribe, after they understand that group immunity does not develop from Covid-19.
I hope- to- fuck, that Covid-19 does not become a variant that disfigures.
As it is, it only rips a human being's interior to the point that the human being
dies. If that person survives, there is a chance of becoming permanently disabled.
