High heels

Saintdragonslayer sent me directions, so I'll see if I can post a test pic. These were the heels that were so comfortable that I wore them until they fell apart, literally. I just about cried when they died.

Thanks SDS for the tutorial!

They went with EVERYTHING! From short skirts

to gowns

I wore them every chance I could! Thank you, Chinese Laundry!

Hey ImiGirrst... I'd like to thank Saintdragonslayer and ChineseLaundry as well!... Thanks for posting your images... I don't understand all your doubts... You've got a great set of pins, and feet! Anyways, now I've got that out of the way, it does make sense to me. Mules are more comfortable than heels which enclose the feet (although I adore both, but that's easy for me to say!). The pair you're wearing, are beautifully contoured to your feet, certainly from above, and along your arch. And the fit along the length of you feet is perfect... I can now see why you grieve so adamantly...

I had heels like that too.

And they were comfortable.

And I wore those out too and haven't found another comfortable pair shaped like that again.

Hey ImiGirrst... If I were you, I'd have a short assessment period... If the heels fit, it's followed by a mad buying frenzy of exactly the same heels... At least then you'd have a small stock... But still keep an eye out for other heels...

Something else... CuttingEdge did mention a while ago, his Wife was joined to a heel club of some description... I think they send his Wife a pair a month(?)... I expect you'd be able to return said pair if they don't fit? That may work for you?

By the way... Really nice teacher's outfit...:rose:

I am not sure.

I think it might change region to region of the world too, but my understanding was; an anklet worn on the right ankle, suggested the woman was in an open-marriage (would sleep with other men), but was married only, or in a committed relationship, if an anklet was worn on the left ankle.

But two anklets makes sense too.

You may have a point about regional differences, CuttingEdge... I think the source I read from is a few pages back... But just the left ankle is available, just the right ankle is married, and as you know, both is open marriage... But there is no accounting for personal preference! A Woman may just simply like both ankles adjourned with anklets, or any other variant!...

Well, thank you! As for my doubts, I have to say that the fine folk at Lit did wonders for helping me get past a lot of my self-consciousness. These days, I am reminded to be humble because otherwise the Furies visit me with a vengeance. However, I'll always been grateful for my early years at Lit because they did so much for my self-esteem when it came to my attractiveness as a woman.

People often focus on folks who are a bit fluffy when it comes to being self-conscious, but I had the opposite problem of being far to skinny. Yes, that is possible IRL. I remember seeing a picture at a family gathering, wondering who the anorexic girl was - only to realize I was looking at ME! And I haven't been anorexic or bulimic a day in my life! Thank goodness. I just couldn't put on weight for love nor money, a problem I bet a lot of people would love to have. But for me, it was an issue bc for all I that I supposedly had a model's build, I had a terrible time finding clothes that fit and I was sick all the time. With 20 extra lbs, I fought off sickness much better, had curves and just all around FELT better about who I was.

Now I'm a little on the fluffy side myself, and taking a walk down memory lane from when I was at Lit the first time has allowed me to objectively evaluate myself - and I'm really not all that different - not in ways that would make a difference to most people I would find attractive. Catty, shallow people that are judgemental? sure. But they don't count.

As for finding shoes that I like - oh, you bet I buy multiple pairs when I find something that works. And I sure would have bought another pair of these two if I could have. I couldn't. I picked them up out of town, so by the time I realized how great they were, I was SOL.

That's why when I picked up the skechers heels recently, I bought a pair of every damn style that were close to fitting right. Especially at the price that they were - it was worth taking a chance.

My closet is filled with shoes that I had hopes for that were yet another disappointment. And sometimes, feet change shape. That was certainly the case when I had my kid and then when I put on weight. I had a killer pair of t-strap Mary Janes in black and brick red that made me feel like I could rule the world when I wore them - and I couldn't get back into them after I dropped the baby weight. I damn near cried.

Oh and Chinese Laundry is the brand of shoe. And thanks for making me explain. It's been a while since I was on the site, and I saw these beauties. Not the sleek heel I usually like but at least the front isn't round.
