I am so sick of losing friends to addiction! Another friend passed away last week, after relapsing to alcoholism. Found him, face down, on the floor, after falling. They found him a few days later. That happens more than people realize. Folks become increasingly isolated because of their addiction. Then, if they die or or are hurt, they go undiscovered until after it is too late. Before they reach that point, they are often alone, desperate, depressed. I look back on over 30+ years of sobriety and freedom from that addiction and feel grateful that I escaped it. I feel so much sadness for those who did not escape and who returned to it, only to see their lives and the lives of those who loved them, torn apart!!! FUCK YOU ADDICTION!!!

I have been clean 34 years...so I get it. PM if you need someone to talk to.

hey...

I hate junkies... of ANY sort or classification, especially when I was one.

Sometimes, I feel so poorly that I consider drinking.

NyQuil™ just doesn't cut through a fever...

I'm sorry for your loss. I have a similar situation in my life. My friend went through his parents' divorce, his mother's death, and the separation from his wife. He ended up killing himself, writing in his suicide note that it was all people's fault. In part, I agree with him, because if people were engaged in their psychological education, or simply read articles by psychologists, such as https://*************.com/, there would be fewer problems and because of this fewer addictions to bad habits. After all, people resort to alcoholism, drug addiction and other harmful things because they have difficulties in terms of psychological awareness.

Sorry for your loss. Fentanyl hit my hometown like a ton of bricks a few years back and half the girls I used to hang out with in study hall ODd in a span of months. I'm 10 years sober from speed myself, but goddamn it's hard sometimes. Addiction really is a motherfucker.
