Can someone point me to a group swapping story?

Without giving too much away, I would like to write an erotic story about four or so separate pairings that arrange to swap themselves between one another, like wife swapping I suppose.

I am finding it difficult to know how or where to even start given that there are potentially multiple protagonists. I imagine a story like this would get quite messy and hard to follow if I switched the perspective between all involved in the swapping.

Does anyone know of a good story along these lines I can read to get an Idea of how this type of story is tackled by a writer?

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "four or so separate pairings." Do you have eight people who come in as couples and swap? Do you have eight people who aren't initially couples, and pair up in different ways? Does it not make much difference and you just want an example of eight people in a sex scene?

If it's either of the last two, then maybe my Finding the Fourth Girl would help. Or maybe not. Either way, it's a fun story and it won't poke you in the eye for reading it.

With my advanced ADHD, I'm having trouble just following your line of thought. Here's a thought(probably not a good one), why not just write a "rough" outline of your imagined story. And then see how messy or complicated it might be. Not being a smartass, but I wrote an almost 20,000-word chapter involving kind of a gang bang event, and even I was getting confused on who was doing what to whom.

I had a good friend attend a supposed BDSM party with about four other couples and several more unattached men. She said it went quickly from a BDSM party into a gangbang, where she was the primary female with 11 out of the 13 men attending. I wished I'd recorded her account of everything happening because it was confusing even to her to recount the events and men she'd been with. The lady friend of mine was a writer here on Lit, who's recently passed on.

Having said the above, I do like your four couples concept. Can you start with just two couples, and they invite a third couple after a few times, and then a fourth?

I remember an old story, not on Lit, that had 4 chapters. Each had 2 characters, and the chapters were chained. Ch 1 had characters A & B, Chapter 2 had B & C, etc.
As to POV, this is best written in 3rd person.
One of my stories had an expanding cast of characters and, among other imperfections, it got hard to follow towards the end.
